PROYECTO DE UNA ESCUELA DE LA COMUNIDAD M'BYÁ GUARANÌ "TEKÓA GUARANÍ", VALLE DE KUNA PIRÚ, MISIONES-ARGENTINA, 2005

-M ́byá Guaraní community
- School needed, closest available too far. Community owned land, ca. 3 ha.
- Plan of 175 m2 included: 1 class room, covered terrace, kitchen, nurse room, 25 pupils, water tank for rainwater. New building, using locally produced materials (except metal roofing). Critical (foundation) vernacular techniques visible. Built by local builders and community members
- Funded by Embassy of Finland, Argentina, completed 2005. Furniture funded by Finnish corporation. Ceramic tiles by Fa.Sin-Pat 8; paints by Cooperativa de Trabajo Cintoplom; books and stove by Cooperativa de Trabajo Chilavert. Budget ca. 20 keur.

Achieved:
- 2 classrooms, 70 pupils. Donated to community, run as state school by local government, 3 teachers
- Gathering place to cook for women
- Mothers of surrounding communities bring their children. Meeting place for elderly and women from communities around
